West Kootenay Move to Cure ALS Walk 🌟On Saturday, June 1st, the West Kootenay Move to Cure ALS Walk took place at Gyro Park in Trail to raise funds for the ALS Society of BC. Kootenay Savings Credit Union proudly participated in the event, firing up the BBQ to help raise funds to conquer ALS.ALS, often known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, has deeply affected our community. We were heartbroken to lose Aladina Sheets on April 22, 2024, who was diagnosed with the disease in March 2022. Aladina touched the lives and hearts of many through her community involvement and long career as a nurse at KBRH.It was an honor for KSCU to join Team Aladina once again and host a fundraising BBQ at the Walk in her memory. This year, we raised approximately $1,900, and we’re committed to continuing the fight against ALS in her honor.BounceRadio.net
