Pick Up Meals Curbside Through Ahern Cares in the Former Lucky Dragon (2024)

Don Ahern, the owner of construction-rental company Ahern Rentals, purchased Lucky Dragon, the foreclosed hotel and casino on Sahara Avenue near Las Vegas Boulevard, for $36 million in April 2019.

After spending about $10 million to renovate the resort, he opened Ahern Hotel & Convention Center, mainly to take advantage of meetings and conventions with no gaming. And while the hotel still plans a grand opening this summer, now it’s focusing on providing meals for pickup in a neighborhood with few remaining takeout options.

Ahern Cares by Ahern Hotel offers curbside pickup with meals and dishes in the $2.50 to $14.99 range. Options include a marinated flank steak, roasted Scottish salmon, oven-roasted chicken, braised beef short ribs, a vegetarian lasagna and ravioli, and chicken kabobs. Kid’s meals are priced at $9.99 with a choice of chicken fingers and fries, roasted chicken or salmon filet with mashed potatoes, or a children’s portion of spaghetti with choice of marinara, alfredo, or Bolognese meat sauce.

Diners choose their meals online and select a time and date to pickup orders curbside from noon to 9 p.m. daily.
